This page links to a virtual reconstruction of the African American cemetery in Rosewood, Florida. This virtual cemetery is offered as a memorial to those who lived and died at the site. The 3D model is based on a combination of data: the ground surface is derived from LiDAR and photogrammetry data; surviving graves documented using a mix of photogrammetry and 3D modeling; and the location of unmarked graves documented through a combinatin of mapping and ground penetrating radar (GPR) survey. The property is privately owned (not by me), and while the landowner permits descendants to visit, it is not publicly accessible.
